Explore the winding corridors above the famous St Nicholas Market on this tour. Check out the antique safes and get behind the face of a clock with hands that show the times in Bristol and Greenwich. Then plunge into the dark cellars and explore the many uses of the vaults.
Built in the 18th century, the Italian Renaissance influenced Bristol Exchange was centred around an open-air space for up to 700 traders to congregate to strike deals. This was covered by an ornate roof for protection from the elements (later bomb damaged in WWII), creating the covered market we know today.
